Provide.

SCLA has created and will maintain playing fields and facilities on Daniel Island. We want these fields to be a home for the Lowcountry’s youth and lacrosse.

Our Playing Fields

The Lowcountry is a great place to live, but open space and sports fields are hard to find, and without fields, kids cannot play. We have partnered with community leaders, businesses, and families to build the SCLA Lax Ranch on Daniel Island. Our goal is that “The Ranch” will be home to regulation fields for boys and girls play. Thanks to generous support and volunteer work, we have completed three fields.

The SCLA Lacrosse Ranch

We finished our first field at The Ranch in 2019, our second in 2020, and our third, the Megan Mulqueen-Taylor Memorial Field, in 2023. Since then, it has hosted lacrosse for boys and girls, Speed Lax and the “groms” for the little kids, a summer league for teenagers and adults, clinics and more. We are only just getting started. Our vision is a home for lacrosse that gets kids out of the house and off the phone, and brings the game, fitness, teamwork and competition to thousands of families.

What’s Next

We are working to bring lacrosse and all of its benefits of fitness, teamwork and competition to kids that might not find the game on their own. We will reach out to communities and families, and support free clinics, equipment, youth leagues and more. We believe lacrosse can help children grow up healthy and happy.
