ABOUT

OUR PURPOSE

Helping children grow happy and healthy through lacrosse.

OUR UNIQUE VISION

A home for lacrosse in the Lowcountry that provides athletes with the community and resources they need to grow as people and players.

HOW WAS SCLA CREATED?

SCLA was created because our founders and supporters shared a passion to expand the game of lacrosse in the Lowcountry. We joined forces to build fields dedicated for playing lacrosse and introducing the game to more children. We believe that sports can be vital to a child’s development and success. Children are able to grow happy and healthy through lacrosse because it inspires fun, fitness, teamwork, leadership, competition and community.

Volunteers

We are a volunteer founded and managed 501(c)(3) non-profit. Dozens of kids and parents have volunteered at the fields, preparing the land and planting sprigs of turf. Others have given much-needed financial support, spread the word and staffed events. It is a volunteer effort and we can all help. We work in partnership with the City of Charleston, the Daniel Island Community, and Lowcountry Lacrosse.

SCLA’s EIN is 82-3736963. While gifts to SCLA are tax deductible, we encourage supporters to consult their tax counsel.
